Meet the OM Team
Edith Estrada,
President and Director of Possibilities
Edith is the President and Co-Founder of OM Snacks and Austin Yoga Tree. She immigrated to the United States from Mexico at a young age. She graduated from college with Bachelors in Psychology and became a social worker, hoping to give back to the community that welcomed her. In 2011, Edith got her Masters of Social Work at USC with a Concentration on Community Organization and Program Administration.
Through USC's Global Immersion program, Edith traveled to various countries including Israel and India, witnessing in person what most of us only read about in the paper. What she discovered, the pain and poverty, moved her so much that she created a new mission for herself in life. As she continues her work helping those she sees everyday, she will make sure that her work also benefits others across the globe, those who are faceless and need our help so desperately.
OM Snacks is a way of fulfilling her new mission, bringing organic food to the masses in the US, and ensuring that 10% of the profits go to charities around the globe.
Jonathan Troen
Chief Inspiration Officer
Jonathan Troen, a successful entrepreneur and political activist, is co-founder of OM Snacks. He is also a personal life coach and yoga teacher.
He started his professional life as a radio producer, in Boston, Massachusetts. He took broadcasting work to England, Spain, and Denmark, before returning to the U.S. and settling in Santa Monica. Jonathan launched LA Live, one of the country's first live music entertainment sites on the Internet, which he then sold in order to produce entertainment and documentary programs for television. He has been a featured speaker at many entertainment and emerging media conferences, and has been featured on various radio and television shows, including CNN and the Discovery Channel.
Throughout his time in the music and entertainment world, he never lost his dedication to helping others, inspiring with deeds as well as words, and several years ago he left producing to become a life coach and yoga teacher. He also volunteers his time to various non-profit organizations.
It is with his commitment to fairness and justice, and his belief that the planet belongs to all of us and we are here to protect it, that Jonathan has chosen to embark on his newest venture, OM Snacks, bringing healthy, organic food to the masses.
And both of us like to have fun and eat tasty food! We hope you do too!
